The U.S. Army is taking a new approach to recruiting soldiers, that's after COVID-19 impacted their process.

New 10's jordan kudisch spoke with a local recruiting center.

She joins us live in our newsroom to explain how they're changing the way they operate..

Because of covid-19.

That's right..

They are going virtual..

And that's so they can reach as many people as possible during these uncertain times.

And if you're interested..

Here's how the enlisitng process works.

You must be a u-s citizens..

Or permanent resident.

You must be between 17-35 years old.

You must have graduated high school or received a ged.

And you have to meet both medical and physical requirements.

I spoke with a staff sergeant who told me they're even offering bonuses for those joining on.

They say by operating with only volunteers..

Recruiting is an essential part of their operations..

Even if it means going virtual to do it.
