Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton signed an executive order mandating that all people wear masks when in businesses within the city limits.

You're in tupelo - you will have to wear a mask when going into a public buildings and businesses.

That executive order goes into affect at 6 this morning... you will have to wear a mask in both public buildings and businesses.

If you don't have it on the owner must ask you to leave.

If you aren't familiar with the executive order, here are some bullet points businesses must have a sign provided by the city government displayed on their entrance -businesses are required to ask customers to leave if unwilling to wear a mask -face coverings are not required for religious reasons medical or behavioral condition private offices with less than 10 employees settings where it's not practical like swimming or dentist appointments while at banks, gyms, or spaces with physical barriers offices where customers do not interact with owner children under the age of 12 a business can seek exemptions from the executive order.

Owners will need to email city hall.
