State Police say a 2018 Toyota Pickup Truck was traveling south on Route 12 attempting to make a left turn onto Steuben Street when the driver failed to yield the right of way to a 2005 Buick Century that was traveling north on Route 12.

Tonight about an accident we first told you about on the live at five the live at five newshour.

Seven people were sent to the hospital after that crash in remsen.

Five of them, were children.

This happened on route 12 at the intersection of steuben street just after 1 o clock.

This was right in front of the citgo gas station.

State police tell us a female driving a pick up truck was travelling south on route 12, and started to turn left onto steuben street..

They say she failed to yield the right of way, and was hit by a sedan.

The sedan spun and hit a utility pole.

Police say the driver of the truck has non lifethreatening injuries.

She was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, and not wearing a seatbelt.

Police say the driver of the sedan has non life- threatening injuries.

As far as the children- troopers tell us a 4 year old, a 5 year old, a 6 year old, and an 8 year old were transported to the hospital with internal injuries.

And a six year old broke her leg.

The investigation is ongoing.
