A driver was ticketed and sent to the hospital after an accident on Route 840 west Monday.
A child in another vehicle involved in the crash was also sent to the hospital for treatment.

New hartford police say michael carter, of utica....could not stop in time for a red light and attempted to change lanes quickly.
That's when he crashed into one car....and then a second car....and then a third car.
Carter and a child, who was a passenger in one of the cars, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Carter was ticketed.
