The Indiana State School Music Association announced Friday that all 2020 ISSMA Live Marching Band events have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But didn't expect she wouldn't return as drum major in the snider marching band.sot allisoni just keep falling back on the fact that i did have three really good years with good people in the band and so i do want to be grateful for that of course.

According to a statement from issma... the executive committee felt it couldn't effectively follow the cdc guidelines to ensure a safe environment for students.the announcement comes after many marching bands across the state have already started summer practice.sot allison we are continuing on with some rehearsals with a reduced schedule and we are thinking about still having a parent performance and still try to perform the show in any way that we canissma executive director mick brickwater says they are exploring virtual performance options.nat shannon when band, show choir, or any of the arts gets taken away that inspires them its sad.

Its like a little light diesone parent of an incoming freshman at southside high school says she is disappointed her son won't be able to join the school's marching band to start the yearbut hopes students will still be able to receive virtual instruction.

This was something that he was very excited about.
