Oneonta creates coronavirus task force

The City of Oneonta is creating a coronavirus task force to monitor the virus as students prepare to return to the two local colleges.

To campus...and the city of oneonta is preparing.

The city has created a coronavirus task force.....to monitor the return of students.

Together, the two schools will welcome back seven thousand students.

The task force will include college students and staff as well as city officials.

Oneonta's mayor says one goal, among others, is to address social distancing concerns at house parties.

When problems are reported ...the group will have a meeting.

"this group including the students will need to take ownership of the problems, and will need to talk about changes we need to make, and ways that we need to act in order to prevent reoccurences.

When i said they'll meet once a week that means if we have a problem that's of real concern, we won't wait, we won't wait, we'll meet immediately the next day.

Hartwick plans to keep it's students locked down on campus since most live on campus.....approxima tely half of suny oneonta students live off campus.
