They're on school grounds..

But what about on the bus?

Dakota simon spoke with the tippecanoe school corporation to learn more about how schools are keeping students safe outside the building..

Nat schools are starting back up..

And while coronavirus concerns surrounding area youth rage on..

Districts are finding ways to keep students safe in..

And outside of the building..

Greg: as we go forward, we will be having our drivers complete a lot of our cleaning tasks on the bus..

Greg haltom has been working hard for the tippecanoe school corporation in an effort to ensure drivers..

And students are safe on their way to and from school..

Greg: our drivers will be sanitizing between each route.

Tsc bus drivers will clean their buses four times a day..

Spraying each seat with disinfectant..

Greg nat: like that!

These precautions are in place because social distancing between students..

Aren't logical for one of the state's largest school districts..

We're almost at 13,800 students, so that's not really going to be something effective that we are going to be able to do in order to get those students to where they are going to be able to learn.

Drivers in the district will wear face shields..

And all students will be required to wear a mask..

Haltom says it's all part of a team effort..

Greg: we will get through this and we will build that future for the kids that everybody wants to have for them.

Extras will be provided..

But those spare masks will be in limited supply..
