Right now out of the 30 deputy positions only 17 of them are filled.

Just this year--- the tehama county sheriff's office lost its k-9 units.

While some people tell me the sheriff's office can do with what they currently have--- others say any pay-cut to law enforcement puts the community at risk--- crime hear is not bad but we need to keep it that way.

We do have issues here in red bluff although most of them are centrally located and not out here in the suburbs part, but if we don't maintain the law enforcement aspect, the quality of life will go downhill.
