Protester march in Springfield in response to arrests made the night before

About 150 people showed up at Safeway on Q Street around 7 p.m.

Night of protests in spinrgfield... but there was a completely different outcome.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarhy walked with the protesters tonight and joins us live in the studio to share with us how tonight's demonstrations turned out.

Chynna-- what a difference a day makes.

Last night there was violence... tonight there was peace.

Tonight's protest was organized by mintorty freedom network .

About 150 protesters marched from safeway on q street in springfield to springfield police headquarters... demanding for accountability after last night's chaotic clashes.

Wagoner:" this protest is like everybody like myself who has been damage or hurt during a protest.

"nats" wagoner: "public safety when it comes to everybody's life out here being able to go to the protest and come home that's whats important.

I dont care if its an all lives matter, i don't care if a black lives matter, we want to be safe, we want to go home and return to our loved ones."

Chynna-- the protesters returned chynna-- the protesters returned back to their cars in the safeway parking lot... and they went home around 9:30.

There were no issues the whole night.

What i saw was protesters were marching... police clearing the streets for them... and the few counter protesters there watched from a distance.

It was peaceful night.
