A meeting tonight to address questions from parents.

A parent we spoke with says he still has concerns about their reopening plans.

He wants his child in school every day.

News channel 2's caitlin irla live here in the studio with that story.

Jason, as schools across the state prepare to reopen, districts ntinue to holmeetingss concerns.

One parent we spoke with says he is not in favor of new hartford's reopening plan.

.

None .

None "i'd rather have her go every day.

I feel k-6 should go every day."

Ed wickman has a 9- year-old daughter that goes to miles elementary school in new hartford.

The schools reopening plan is a 3-2 model which divides students into two main groups.

For each group, in- person instruction is two days a week and every other friday.

"at this time in her life school is going to be a big part, it's a building block she needs that structuress not going to get that from a computer."

That is a common concern for many parents of young children.

Another concern... daycare.

"daycares a problem."

"finding daycare, finding daycare who is going to allow her to be on the internet for six hours a day and monitor her while she goes to cla.

If no she comeshome ando work in three hours and then go to bed to get up to go to school the next morning."

He says he feels even if his daughter does find a daycare that fits her needs... it stilisn't whahe had hopedfor.

Ie she is going to be with 20 other kids from around the county, school districts are going to be in the same daycare the following day and she is going to be with her students in her classroom.

And then... what if someone does get sick?

Now they're going to contact trace her back to her day care and they're going to start tracing those kids and find that those kids went to other school districts.

"i would rather have her in the classroom with all of her class mates everyday because she's at least with the same kids every day."

> new hartford's first day of school is september 8th.
