Lizzy rainey is a radio-logic technologist at franciscan health east.

When she's not at the hospital, she spends her time painting.

The local artist has been painting for nearly 20 years.

When the covid-19 pandemic began, she started painting pictures of healthcare workers fighting the virus.

Rainey says her paintngs give her the opportunity to tell unique stories.

If you notice, most of her paitnings focus on people's eyes.

I focused on the eyes in several paintings because i wanted to display that hope is in the eyes.

And that's what alot of my work is, i tried to really focus on the eyes because of that rainey says she's the type of person to go with the "wave of inspiration" as long as she continues to feel inspired to paint, she plans to continue to do so.
