New numbers show fewer students in quarantine at UAH.

Just 10 cases.

Meanwhile - new numbers show fewer students in quarantine at u-a-h.

It's a lot better situation than what students are facing in tuscaloosa.

Waay 31's max cohan joins us live from u-a-h.

He learned more about the university's plans students who are sick.

Max?

The university told me today there are currently only three students in quarantine on campus with a student body around 6,000 -- and said there are plans to handle more than 100 sick students in quarantine housing like the bevill center behind me.

U-a-h designated several areas for quarantine housing --the tom bevill conference center is the primary location.

John maxon, the university's associate vice president for student affairs told me many students choose to go home to quarantine.

He says there are approxamately 100 beds available -- but the university could manage more than 120, if warranted.

John maxon - uah, associate vice president for student affairs "we have a plan for providing all the necessary conveniences for students -- mail delivery, food service, even laundry if necessary, laundry service -- where we're using different groups to provide those."

Maxon told me the school is very satisfied with the numbers.

Leaders also praised students for doing their part in keeping the university community safe.

Live on the u-a-h campus, max cohan, waay 31 news.
