Local martial arts instructor gives over 65 backpacks to students

On Monday, students in one Northern California school district received a special surprise from a martial arts instructor.

Master azad an instructor in chico visited spring valley elementary school...to hand out free backpacks!

Azad organized all of this... he tells action news now he gives back to the community whenever he can.

These students live primarily in the concow area.

And even though they are learning virtually at the moment... nothing beats free school supplies.
