Four our first stop we head to scheumann stadium ..

Remember last year when jeff opened the season against west lafayette?

Similar story this evening ..

Not a whole lot of defense in this one..

And i don't want to ruin any surprises here..

But there was a running back in this game that put up stats good enough for an entire season..

And absolute shootout at the scheu..

A sold out schue this evening ..

15 hundred fans allowed to attend this contest..

On the field ..

Harrison trying to snap a three-game losing skid to lafayette jeff ..

Hogan finds a hole and is gone ..

Kudos to the bronchos offensive line ..

That group got the job done tonight ..

Hogan puts jeff up 28-14 ..

But harrison not going away ..

Under two minutes in the first half ..

Knoy over the middle to kenny sims ..

A 38-yard t-d for sims ..

This game was tied at 28 heading into the break.

Pat shanley the the bronchos offense keeping it simple ..

A historic night for the senior ..

This guy was really good too ..

Omarion dixon had 31 carries for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns ..

Harrison never led in this game ..

But it repeatedly battled back ..

Trailing 42-35 in the third ..

Lafayette jeff starts the season 4-0 for the third time in four years ..

Hey the wildkats taking on mccutcheon tonight..

Jd arland was all over howard county tonight covering games..

He's here with the highlights to this one..

Hey jd... hey guys... long drive out to kokomo this evening... mccutcheon with a lot at stake... after falling to guerin week one, west lafayette, and jeff... the mavs were still searching for win number one... kokomo stood in the way of that.... the kats at 1-2 before tonight.... to walter cross field we go... mavericks and wildkats met on kokomo's homecoming.... that's not a helmet it's homecoming king josh garcia... third quarter just after halftime.... mccutcheon trails 14-10... evan barker airs it out.... to mccutcheon's bryndan perry!

It's going back the other way and the mavericks shift the momentum... masked up ken frauhiger can barely contain himself... later on in the 3rd...same score... ethan smith finds jadon lawrence on the slant... a big gain and the mavericks are rolling... shortly after... 15 finds 13 again... this time way up high... it's good for a score and the mavs are up by 3!

Ethan smith says.... yeah...go mavs... but tonight belonged to the wildkats.... barker on the handoff to dashaun coleman.... pack it up.... 28-23 the final...mavericks are 0-4... kokomo picked up its second win tonight... and its first conference win... the mavericks will have to search for redemption next week against logansport.... but for now guys thats all i got... back to you at the desk... that completes the first half of the frenzy ..
