No need for pontificating tonight, oooh see what i did there, let's get right into the action.

This was a first for me, the spear throwing into the logo.

The hype was high on senior night and the warriors started on a high note.

===== quarterback connor armstrong, nicely executed screen pass to lj jones, that gets the warriors into the hilltoppers side of the field.

===== couple of plays later, senior jemarkus whitfield busts through the line into the secondary and inside the 10 to set up first goal.

====== 3rd and goal now, armstrong finds big bro cade in the flat, touchdown pontotoc.

They go up quick 7 to nothing in the first.

====== houston tried to answer back, after getting inside the 20, here's 4th and country mile, martavious parker makes one heck of an effect to get a first down, but the warriors stop him a yard short.

===== after pontotoc went 3 and out, the hilltoppers take advantage of a short field, parker streamrolls his way over the goal line for 6.

====== after giving up a lot of points in their first two games, both defenses came to play in this one.

Huge game down in starkvegas tonight between the yellow jackets and meridian.

Thanks matt... i'm back in starkville tonight for yet another non- conference game for the yellow jackets.

Undefeated starkville hosted meridian who has had a rough start to the season... but the great thing about high school football is that records don't always deem who will take home the win at the end of the night... pretty close match-up in the first half as starkville only lead by 2 touchdowns... however, on their first possession of the second half, luke alt-meijer hands it off to jordan mitchell who breaks a tackle and hurdles a defender on the ground to book it down the sideline but gets taken down shy of the goal line... this set up the jackets for the next play.

Alt-meijer uses his arm to find stacy robinson who takes a defender with him across the pylon to put starkville up 21- 0... but the wildcats said it was their turn to get on the board... ni-qun-dre smith heaves the ball up for receiver fernando atter- berry to make the play and give meridian its first td of the game.

However it was the yellow jackets who came out with the 35 to 14 victory over the wildcats so starkville remains unbeaten for now... the jackets will be at south panola next week.

Undefeated leake academy traveled to starkville to take on the volunteers... the vols were tenacious on defense tonight... here charlie cox blows through the o-line to get the big sack... and the very next play, the rebels go for the deep ball after the loss of yards but its charlie nicholas on the other end... quite the leap for that i-n-t the great defense gives starkville a spark on offense...after marching down the field, c-j jackson get's the hand-off and plows his way into the endzone to put the vols up 31-14.

It was a close one in the 4th, but in the end, leake academy takes starkville academy, 49 to 45.

Heritage academy hosted bayou academy in the patriots homecoming game... and the patriots came out ready... first drive, qb mack howard looks in the endzone and finds trey naugher to put heritage up 6-0 early... but that's not all...on the next drive howard scans the field to connect with harris gunter... he makes a great snag and beats a tackle to saunter across the goal line.

Heritage academy takes bayou academy in this match up, 48 to 13.

Clarkdale hosting south panola for the first game in their new stadium.... maybe should have picked a different opponent... 1st drive of the game anterrio draper..pitch and catch with christian bobo....makes a man miss....1st down...maybe a late hit but the refs says nope.... coach johnson hoping his defense can make a stop early.... problem is these are he tigers..... later in he drive d'mariun perteet......smashing into the endzone to put the first point on the board.... tosses ball to the ref barry sanders
