A live look over madison county this morning-- where the the first absentee voter assistance site opens in just a few hours!
Waay 31's ashley carter is on the campus of alabama a and m where the first site is set to begin here in just a couple hours.
Ashley?
The assistance site is going to be just behind me inside the elmore gym on campus and the madison county probate and circuit court judge will be here assisting people who'd like to vote absentee with a number of services today.
Those services include helping people with the absentee application itself...and having notary services and a witness on site today for ballots that need to be completed and returned.
You will not be able to get an absentee ballot at the assistance site .
The sites will operate drive thru only.
If you aren't able to make it out today their will be 15 total days this month... each sites will operate from 9 a-m to 4 p-m.
