After 11 professional hockey seasons, five with the Utica Comets, goalie Richard Bachman has ended his playing career, and been hired as the Goaltending Coach for the Iowa Wild.

Bachman spent five seasons with the comets - where he finished with a record of 49-41-13.

His 105 appearances and 49 wins both rank second all- time in franchise history.

He only appeared in three games for utica this past season before being loaned to a team in the swedish hockey league by the canucks.

The salt lake city native finishes an 11- year professional career with 264 a-h-l appearances and 49 games in the n-h-l.
