Indiana State University student Caleb Needham was driving home this past weekend when he said a pumpkin smashed through his window.

That pumpkin was thrown from an overpass.

The large pumpkin caused serious damage to Needham's car, but luckily he walked away from the accident without a scratch.

Forecast coming up police say they are investigating after someone threw pumpkins off an overpass into traffic on interstate 70.

One of the goards crashed through the windshield of an indiana state university student.

We told you earlier this week about the incident.

Today, our own bri shackleford talked with the student about the scary incident.

Isu student caleb needham says a halloween prank could have been deadly.

Last weekend... needham was driving on interstate 70 near plainfield around 4 in the morning.

He was driving home from a haunted house.

Suddenly, he said he saw a semi-truck swerve out of the way.

He didn't think anything was out of the ordinary at that time.

"i was going like 70 on cruise control and then a pumpkin dropping, like 50 feet or something."

Needham says as he went under the overpass... a large pumpkin smashed into his windshield.

Needham pulled over.

Thankfully, he didn't have a scratch on "him"...but he admits the ordeal could've been worse.

"i'm just glad it happened to me with no passengers in there, instead of like a family coming back from fall break and they lose a mother, or father, or one of their kids."

But...he does have something to say to the people who threw the pumpkin on the overpass.

"i forgive them for what they did, because the change in the world starts with one person."

Just thankful, he's alive to be telling this story.
