Mike parson has asked the legislature to hold off until next session on a bill that protects corporations from covid-19 related lawsuits.

The issue pits businesses against frontline and essential workers.the missouri chamber of commerce as well as the missouri hospital association have been calling for liability protection since early in the pandemic.saying it was necessary to protect businesses from frivolous lawsuits.

But the bill has been heavily criticized by unions and essential workers who say legislation like this doesn't protect well- intentioned companies -- it protects bad actors.
