Man faces armed robbery charges after incident at Macon car wash

Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after he robbed a car wash at gunpoint.

The incident happened at around 9 a.m.

Thursday.

Our top story tonight at five: three armed robberies all within the last 24 hours, but bibb county deputies have made an arrest in connection to one of them that happened around 9 this morning.

50-year-old robert tufts is in jail on an armed robbery charge.

Deputies say he's accused of stealing a backpack blower from fountain car wash on gray highway.

When employees tried to stop him, they say tufts pulled out a gun.
