Chubbuck Foundation holding gift card drive after Wing Wars cancellation

CNY Wing Wars, which was scheduled for January 30th, has been postponed to the fall of 2021.

The event was held in the past at Hart's Hill Inn in Whitesboro.

The coronavirus has had on in person events... next month would have been the 5th annual wing wars to benefit the jm chubbuck foundation.

The foundation provides financial assistance to cancer patients of all ages so monthly expenses can be paid.

Organizers of the wing wars event are moving it to the fall but that is one of their biggest fundraiser....so now they have to be creative in order to raise money now.

Right now we are also starting our very first holiday gift card drive.

People can log on to our website, thejfcm.org and they can donate a gift card to a cancer patient for gas or groceries or they can make a cash donation or make it on the website as well.

The foundation is also applying for grants..for the second year in a row they have received the jim and juil boeheim grant for 3-thousand dollars.

But not all charities are able to get grants.

Many succeed due to their inperson events.
