Lyssa High speaks with Ben Hayden of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.

Ben, thank you so much for having us back.

Ben hayden: always a pleasure to see you, lyssa.

So glad to have you here.

Lyssa-host: oh.

Well, i love coming here.

You know i do and shopping away.

And you know what?

Why is it so important for the community to come and shop at goodwill over the holiday season?

Ben hayden: yeah, it's just so important.

There's a lot of people in here doing their holiday shopping right now.

It's busy today.

Lyssa-host: it is.

Ben hayden: of course, everybody's doing their social distancing and wearing their face masks, but you can get so many great deals here at goodwill.

So many great finds to be had at goodwill, and all of those proceeds, especially this time of year, go back into supporting our mission which is to help those people that are disadvantaged, have barriers to employment.

We have so many career services that are helping those people achieve their goals and their dreams of getting back into the workforce and achieving those careers that they want.

Lyssa-host: and it's so important, and you all do such a great job educating and helping to support our community in general.

And there's so many great finds to find here too.

Ben hayden: that's right.

Lyssa-host: we were talking about the ugly christmas sweaters- ben hayden: that's right.

Lyssa-host: it's that time of year.

You could find that type of stuff, but also you guys have some really trendy clothing as well ben hayden: that's right.

I was picking some up earlier.

I mean, i don't even think they're ugly christmas sweaters.

Lyssa-host: i know.

No- ben hayden: i think they're cute christmas sweaters.

Lyssa-host: i've seen a lot uglier out there.

I'm just saying.

Ben hayden: so we have lots of holiday outfits here for you to find, so come in, check out, browse through our store and find some cute christmas sweaters and cute holiday sweaters to wear to your virtual christmas party.

Lyssa-host: yep, absolutely.

Ben hayden: that's a thing.
