The search continues for suspects after at least seven cases of shots fired in Lexington within the last 24 hours.

One of the shootings..

Sent a 5-year-old child, and a 35 year old woman to the hosptial.

Police say the child was taken to the hospital with life- threatening injuries... and the woman reportedly had 'non-life' threatening injuries.

According to officers... the two were inside a house..

On catera trace..when someone fired shots into their home around midnight.

Police say in addition to the shooting on catera trace.... there were shootings overnight ..

On ice house way, belmont drive, university avenue, winding oak trail and east fourth street.

And there was another round of shots fired, late this afternoon.

Police say it happned on sundart drive.

According to officers..

The shots hit a home and a vehicle.

Investigators say.

Several people were inside the house at the time, but no one was hurt.

Police say they're not sure if the shots fired this afternoon..
