Union Home Minister Amit Shah on December 26 arrived in Guwahati.
During his visit, Shah will lay the foundation stone for several government schemes in Assam.
Folk artists and locals gathered outside Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and welcomed Shah in Guwahati.
