Coos County in warning week, could move back up to 'extreme risk' category

Coos county could be moving back into the extreme risk category... just a week after they were downgraded into high risk.
They will be on the county watch list this week.

Coos health and wellness assistant director eric gleason says he was concerned it wouldn last.
Eric gleason phoner:?it would probably be a short- lived stint in the high.
At that point, our numbers were increasing?
To be "high risk" a county must have less than 200 cases per 100 thousand people.
In the two weeks before christmas, they reported 199 cases.
But in the last two weeks, it's gone up to 213.
If it stays that way, gleason says they'll be back in extreme risk by monday.
Things can happen, people can remember what the preventative measures are and adhere to those?
Gleason says he realizes a switch back will be disappointing to business owners.
Restaurants were able to open for indoor dining under high risk& and gyms and indoor facilities were able to open all together.
Under extreme risk, theyl have to shut down again.

Could be short lived, gleason says he understands why some businesses opened anyway.
He says they have to do what they can to survive??the businesses know what thhe risk levels mean to them.
