Space Object That Passed Earth, Was Likely From Alien World, Says Harvard Professor.

Astronomer and Harvard Professor Avi Loeb makes the assertion in his new book, 'Extraterrestrial.'.

The cigar-shaped object in question passed by the earth in 2017 at a speed of 196,000 miles per hour.

It didn't look like a comet, yet it behaved some like something that has an extra push, Dr. Avi Loeb, Harvard Professor, via CBS News.

Loeb believes that the object is actually the debris of alien technology much more advanced than our own.

According to NASA, it's "the first object ever seen in our solar system that is known to have originated elsewhere.".

Loeb acknowledges that speculating about alien life is "out of the mainstream," but he says it shouldn't be.

We should be open minded and search for evidence rather than assume that everything we see in the sky must be rocks, Dr. Avi Loeb, Harvard Professor, via CBS News
