Bishop Lucia celebrates Mass in Utica

Syracuse Bishop Lucia visited Notre Dame school and celebrated Mass in Utica Tuesday morning.

This morning.

Mass was only open to the notre dame campus ministry.... but it will air on youtube later in the day.

After mass, the bishop toured notre dame high school across the road on burstone road and met some of the students.

It's his first visit to the school since he became bishop 18 months ago.

He says since shools like notre dame were able to open fulltime when the school year began in the fall...and were able to remain open...it shed quite a positive light on teh catholic school system.
