Hello and hello and welcome back.
As we prepare for spring sports to begin here in the hoosier state, over in illinois, high school football teams are entering their second week of action in the 2020 makeup season.
Down in robinson, the 1-0 maroons welcomed the 1-0 newton eagles to town.
1st qtr, maroons with great field possession after the eagles fumble.
Wes jackson bobbles the snap but recovers and gets in for the touchdown.
Robinson leads 7-0.
Later in the 1st, jackson looking at a 3rd and forever, avoids the first sack, looks like he may have a shot down the field but gets sacked by newton's marshall tarr to end the drive.
2nd qtr, robinson knocking on the door once again.
Jackson throwing on fourth down for the end zone but he's picked off by ben meinhart.
Eagles defense really holding strong when it counts.
Time winding down in the half, jackson making something out of nothing on this 3rd and long to move his maroons into the red zone.
A few plays later, three running backs in the backfield for the maroons as levi dickerson takes the direct snap and plows his way into the end zone for the robinson touchdown.
