Police investigated a report of what sounded like gunshots at Frankfort-Schuyler schools Tuesday afternoon, but did not find any evidence of shots fired.

In place.... after a school resource officer and another employee...thought they heard shots fired.

Multiple police officers from multiple agencies rushed to the school to investigate.

It is your top story.

Police arrived, established a perimeter and conducted a controlled dismissal of the remaining elementary students.

They were in the middle of elementary dismissal when this happened.

Police determined there was no threat and high school students, at the building next door, were dismissed.

The superintendent and teachers went up to parents who were waiting in cars to pick up their kids and explained what happened.

As far as what the sound was....they're not sure.
