A French Navy commando dog called Luek has been awarded a posthumous Dickin Medal - the highest honour available for animals - for his life-saving actions while on duty.Vet charity the PDSA gave the Belgian Malinois the prestigious award, also known as the animals’ Victoria Cross, for his bravery in Mali while taking on several hostile combatants.
