PBC will pay Canelo Alvarez his massive $35 million guarantee for his next fight if he faces #1 WBO super middleweight contender Jaime Munguia on May 4th.
According to ESPN MX, they won’t pay him the $35M if he fights Jermall Charlo, as that match is expected to sell.
Here’s the problem: Canelo said recently that his next fight would come against an American.
Munguia is from Mexico, so Canelo would have to change his mind for that match to take place.
