A law Governor Ron DeSantis signed into legislation compelled the University of Florida to ax its 13-person diversity, equity, and inclusion department.

This act enraged former Gators star and NFL legend Emmitt Smith, prompting the Cowboys great to angrily release a statement condemning the move.

“I’m utterly disgusted by UF’s decision and the precedent that it sets.” Who should we believe, the football player or the governor?
