North Texas-based franchises were in nearly 36,000 locations last year

There were 35,666 locations of North Texas-based franchising companies around the world in 2019, according to Dallas Business Journal data. Pizza Hut, which has its headquarters in Plano, led the way with 18,703 domestic, international and company-owned units.
