In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is unfortunate that many Texans have lost their jobs and with it, their healthcare coverage. Since mid-March, more than 1.4 million Texans have filed for unemployment benefits, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. There’s never a good time to lose a job, but in this continuing crisis it’s particularly difficult to be unemployed and without healthcare coverage.
