Disney to re-imagine iconic ride to feature African American princess

The Splash Mountain attraction at The Walt Disney Co.'s Magic Kingdom and Disneyland theme parks in Orlando and California is getting a new look. The theme park giant, via its Disney Parks Blog, announced it will "reimagine" the rides after the Disney film, "The Princess and the Frog." The film follows Tiana, a strong African American woman living in New Orleans with a dream to open her own restaurant, and eventually becomes a princess.
