Legend Mining Limited (ASX:LEG) has identified a strong offhole conductor at Mawson nickel-copper sulphides discovery on WA's Fraser Range which managing director Mark Wilson describes as another "exciting development".

Downhole electromagnetic (DHTEM) surveys within the discovery at the Rockford Project identified a strong 12,000-14,000S offhole conductor in drill hole RKRC013.

This is interpreted to be a northeast extension of Mawson mineralisation and will be tested by upcoming diamond drilling.*Priority target*

Wilson said: "The strength, size and location of the offhole conductor northwest of hole 13 make it a priority target when the diamond rig returns to site later this week.

"It is interpreted as the possible northeast extension of the mineralisation at Mawson and is an exciting development at this prospect."

DHTEM surveying is ongoing in the recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drill holes.

The RC rig has completed a seven-hole baseline and has moved onto drilling four holes under priority aircore holes in the eastern aircore geochemical anomaly.
