Aurania Resources Ltd (CVE:ARU) (OTCQB:AUIAF) said Thursday it has confirmed extensive high-grade copper and silver in the Tsenken area of its Lost Cities-Cutucu project. The Toronto-based explorer revealed the news from its Tsenken B target area, which it plans to drill “as soon as possible,” according to the company’s CEO Keith Barron. The results extend from the mineralized fault breccia at the Tsenken A target around six kilometres to the north, Aurania said. READ: Aurania Resources finds more high grade copper-silver at its project in the foothills of the Andes "We are very encouraged to see the copper-silver in the Tsenken area resolving into specific targets that we aim to drill-test as soon as possible,” CEO Barron told shareholders in a statement. “The light-weight drill rig, that has a maximum reach of 800 metres is in country and will be deployed to site in the coming weeks to start the drill program on Tsenken N2 and N3, before proceeding to the other priority targets." Tseken B contains sedimentary-hosted copper-silver mineralization in outcrop and boulders in carbon-bearing layers. Rock samples from the target were crushed in Ecuador and analyzed by a Vancouver-based laboratory. The junior explorer said it plans to initiate field mapping and soil sampling at Tsenken B, as well as Tsenken A, to define drill targets.
