The Valens Company says goodbye to board member Renee Merrifield after her election to BC legislative assembly

The Valens Company Inc (CVE:VLNS) (OTCQX:VLNCF) (FRA:7LV) on Friday congratulated its board member Renee Merrifield on her election to the Kelowna-Mission district of British Columbia.  Merrifield, who served on the company’s board as an independent member since June 2020, was elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly for the district in the recent provincial general elections held in October.  "On behalf of the board of directors and executive leadership team, I would like to congratulate Ms Merrifield on this exciting next step in her career and wish her the best for the future,” Valens CEO Tyler Robson said in a statement. “We thank Ms Merrifield for her valuable leadership expertise and contributions to our team.” READ: Valens receives Health Canada licence amendment to commence operations at its second processing facility in Kelowna, British Columbia Merrifield also serves as CEO and co-founder of Troika Management Corp, a land and real estate development company. "Although for a short time, serving on the Valens board alongside many talented and passionate individuals was a pleasure," Merrifield told shareholders. "The Valens Company is well-positioned for a bright future, and I look forward to following its growth for years to come." Valens said its board and corporate governance committee, of which Merrifield was a member, will begin the search for a new person to fill the vacancy.
