Austin vows to keep mask mandate despite governor's order, raising tons of questions

Austin businesses must still require employees and customers to wear face masks until at least April 15, according to a March 9 announcement from the city of Austin and Travis County. That’s despite Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s March 2 order lifting the statewide mandate as of March 10. It appears businesses can indeed operate at 100% capacity as the governor touted, but that's not likely because social distancing measures must still be taken, according to local rules.
