Apple investing $448 million in Catawba County as part of NC expansion

Apple Inc. announced Monday its plans to bring at least 3,000 new jobs to North Carolina with a new campus in Wake County. Of the $1 billion investment that was announced for N.C., $448 million of it will go into efforts in Catawba County, according to state documents. Apple has had a data center in Maiden for years.
