Hit with $17M in FAA penalties, Boeing to study its readiness to boost 737 Max production

The jet maker agreed in a settlement with the FAA that it will improve the processes it uses to ensure oversight of its parts suppliers, including from its own fabrication unit in the Puget Sound area.
