St. Louis city, county sue to block new Missouri gun law

The city of St. Louis and St. Louis County filed a joint lawsuit Monday seeking to block a new law in Missouri that bans local law enforcement from enforcing federal gun laws. A joint news release from the city and county said House Bill 85 makes Missouri a "sanctuary state for gun violence." The law would subject law enforcement agencies with officers who knowingly enforce federal gun laws to a fine of about $50,000 per violating officer.
