Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said Wednesday afternoon that his decision to require Covid-19 vaccines for county employees was rooted in wanting to protect the people the county serves from Covid-19. Fitzgerald, in his regular weekly briefing, said Allegheny County was following in the footsteps of companies in the region, as well as the Biden administration's plan for federal employees.
