Tamil Nadu: Man leaps off flyover, lands on car plying below; critical

A 34-year-old man attempted suicide on Friday by leaping off the MIT flyover on GST Road in Chromepet, allegedly because he couldn’t land a job, police said. He landed on a moving car 40ft below and is now in a critical condition at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital with severe injuries including to the head. Police identified the man as Marimuthu of Sivaganga district.
