India reports 26,964 Covid cases, 383 deaths; active cases lowest in 186 days

India registered 26,964 new Covid-19 cases and 383 deaths in 24 hours, the government said on Wednesday. The active caseload declined to 3,01,989 - the lowest in 186 days. India's recovery rate was recorded at 97.77 per cent, the highest since March 2020, the ministry said.
