Omicron Telangana's dominant variant, detected in 70% samples: Govt

The rapid rise in fresh Covid cases in Telangana is driven by the highly contagious Omicron variant, said health authorities on Thursday. Over 70 per cent of the new cases reported across the state seem to be of the Omicron strain, said the authorities, predicting a massive spike during Sankranti festivities.
