‘Amid Kingfisher’s fund crunch, Vijay Mallya took Rs 250 crore property in France’

CBI’s supplementary chargesheet in a bank fraud case related to Vijay Mallya said that even as Kingfisher Airlines suffered a severe cash crunch in 2008, and the lenders were yet to recover the loans defaulted in 2015-16, he purchased a property worth Rs 80 crore in the UK and another worth Rs 250 crore in France. Mallya is currently living on the UK property, the chargesheet said.
