Punjab Congress chief denies possibility of alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal

After reports emerged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had approached former NDA ally Shiromani Akali Dal to join the opposition's Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accused the Akali Dal of disseminating 'false' information to bolster its standing ahead of potential negotiations with the BJP. Warring asserted that the Congress would never contemplate an alliance with the SAD.
