Several districts in southern Tamil Nadu experienced heavy rainfall, causing water levels in dams to rise. The Manjaluru dam reached 55 feet out of its total capacity of 57 feet, prompting the water resources department to issue a flood warning. People living in areas near the Manjalar river were advised to be cautious. The Dindigul district declared a holiday for schools and colleges due to the rain, while Sivakasi's fireworks industry also shut down. The India meteorological department warned of more rain and thunderstorms in the coming days. Fishermen were advised to avoid certain coastal areas due to strong winds.
