BJP chief Nadda to release commemorative stamp in recognition of Indian-origin Tamils in Sri Lanka

BJP chief JP Nadda will release a commemorative postal stamp in recognition of India-origin Tamils' "toil" in establishing the plantation industry in Sri Lanka. The stamp will be received by Senthil Thondaman, the governor of Sri Lanka's Eastern Province. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken initiatives for the welfare and development of Indian-origin Tamils in Sri Lanka, including housing, health, education, cultural facilities, and basic amenities. India also extended USD 4 billion worth of financial aid to Sri Lanka. Modi believes Sri Lanka is a "civilisational twin" of India.
